Feeling Your Best

There are always those days where you feel horrible and when you thought that nothing else could get worse, and it did. So, you ended up hating the day for what it had become and hope that the next day, the planets will align and everything will be perfect.

Unfortunately, a perfect day or a day that you feel your best will not come without a little effort. We cannot sleep a bad day off and hope for a miracle that the next day would be better. Instead, there are certain tasks or routines that we need to do so that the day will turn out as perfect as possible.

This is a trick that I learnt from Chase Jarvis that I have been applying it to my daily life and it seems to work. What you would need is just a simple list of tasks or habits that you think would help you achieve your perfect day — a checklist of sorts. The list that you will be having is unique to you. There is no one size fits all checklist. It has to agree with your lifestyle and your life in general.

For me, I am testing out the following list:

  1. Sleep for at least 8 hours
  2. Write an article
  3. Read for at least 30 minutes
  4. Exercise
  5. Work on an idea
  6. Drink at least 8 litres of water
  7. Brainstorm 10 ideas
  8. Spend an hour with family
  9. 30 minutes of alone time without being connected
  10. Research an emotion and write a short story on Instagram

It has only been a week and I realised that there are some changes that are needed to be made. Therefore, this process is a continuously changing and continuously experimenting one.

I am doing this because I want to feel my best every single day and the list will help me accomplish that. 🙂

Do try it out.
