Our Voice, Our Identity

You can learn a lot about a person just by listening to their voice.

By listening to how their vocal chords vibrate,

How their tongue moves as they pronounce a syllable,

How it clicked against the roof of their mouth,

How the sounds escape their lips.

You can learn a lot about a person,

By listening to how they pronounce their words,

How much air they let out after each sentence,

The speed and rhythm of their speech,

Their intonation and choices of words to stress.

There is so much that we can learn from a person’s voice alone. You can tell what emotional state they are in, the amount of self-confidence they have, and even what their careers are.

It is not a well-known fact but our voice is our identity and we should guard it safely.
